How to play

Teams and workshop groups · 15–25 minutes

Make it comfortable

Pick prompts relevant to your group. Keep participation optional and avoid questions about salary, health, family status, or other personal details. Print one card per participant.

Start a conversation

Find a colleague who matches a square. Ask one follow-up question before writing their name. Use each colleague once on a card, or twice for a small group.

Bring the group back

Play for a row, column, or diagonal, or simply stop at the agreed time. Invite people to share one useful recommendation from a conversation rather than ranking everyone by their score.

For a remote workshop, use small breakout rooms and let people mark a printed card. This page does not host a live online game.
In a small group, a 3 × 3 card is easier to finish without reusing names.

Before you print

Can I add company-specific prompts?

Yes. Edit the words field to add tools, projects, or shared interests. Keep each prompt short enough to read in a square.

Is this suitable for a competitive event?

It can be, but agree on the winning pattern first. For an introductory workshop, a time limit and a short group discussion may suit the group better than a prize.

How do I save my cards as a PDF?

Use Print / Save PDF, then choose Save as PDF in your browser’s print dialog. Choose A4 or US Letter in the editor first, and turn off browser headers and footers. Reloading or leaving this page clears your edits, so save your PDF before you go.
