How to play
Colleagues planning a farewell
During the celebration
Make it personal
Swap generic moments for recognizable projects or stories, with the guest of honor’s comfort in mind. Avoid assumptions about health, age, money, or family plans.
Explain quiet play
Place a card and pen at each seat. Guests mark moments as they naturally occur. Ask everyone to leave speeches uninterrupted and show a completed line at the next break.
Celebrate a memory
Check a row, column, or diagonal with the host. Invite the winner to share the story behind one square, if the guest of honor would enjoy that.
- Keep the 3 × 3 grid for a short farewell; a long program can support a larger card.
- A table can share one card if guests would rather play together.
Before you print
Does the host need to call words?
No. The printed prompts describe things guests observe at the party. Keep the caller-list option off unless you want a planning reference.
Will every square happen?
Probably not. Edit the list against your actual program. Agree that an unfinished card is fine when the celebration ends.
How do I save my cards as a PDF?
Choose A4 or US Letter, then use Download PDF to save your set. Print opens your browser’s print dialog instead. Your latest draft is saved in this browser when storage is available; download a PDF to keep a separate copy or send the cards to someone else.
